Blowback es el 6to. álbum de Tricky, publicado en el 2001. Tal como Nearly God, Blowback contiene diversas colaboraciones, pero el sonido de esta placa es mucho más claro y ¨recreativo¨. El mismo Tricky señaló que quiso salir al ¨aire¨ con este álbum, mientras que sus placas anteriores estaban hechas para mantenerse alejado de la radio difusión.
Entre los artistas invitados de Blowback destacan Flea, Anthony Kiedis y John Frusciante de los Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cyndi Lauper, Alanis Morissette, Ed Kowalczyk y otros músicos menos concidos como Hawkman, Stephanie McKay y Ambersunshower, con quien ya había trabajado previamente en 1996 para Childline (compliación lanzada con fines de caridad).
